The Alabama National Fair has announced the dates of October 9 through October 18 for the 2009 Fair at Garrett Coliseum.   General Manager, Randy Stephenson, says “We believe this year’s Fair will be bigger and better than ever.   After the success of Salute To America’s Veterans in 2008 we plan to make this years’ opening night Salute even bigger. We have a strong lineup of entertainment and other changes that will make the 2009 Alabama National Fair very appealing to everyone.”

This year’s entertainment lineup includes Craig Morgan on Saturday night (October 10th) at 7 pm. Morgan has charted fifteen times on the Billboard country charts. Besides "That's What I Love About Sunday," five more of his singles have entered Top Ten: "Almost Home," "Redneck Yacht Club," "Little Bit of Life," "International Harvester," and "Love Remembers."
Sunday the 11th will feature Eric Benét. In 1996, Benét released his solo debut album, True to Myself.. Individual songs from the album were successful, including the top-ten R&B hit "Spiritual Thang" and "Let's Stay Together," which appeared on the soundtrack of the film A Thin Line Between Love and Hate.   In all, Benét has produced four successful albums. He has also been active as an actor; he had a recurring role on the television program For Your Love (1998–2002). He made his film debut alongside Mariah Carey in Glitter (2001). He has a recurring role on the MTV scripted show "Kaya" (2007) where he plays a music producer.

He scored a third consecutive top 10 hit with Shania Twain in late 2004, on the song "Party for Two". In 2005, Currington released a second album entitled Doin' Somethin' Right, which peaked at #2 on the Top Country Albums chart and #11 on the Billboard 200.  "People Are Crazy", co-written by Bobby Braddock and Troy Jones, became his third Number One hit in July 2009.
